Portland Spaces presents Portland Design From the Ground Up: The First Root Awards
Celebrating Portland innovation, creativity, and craftsmanship—both professional and DIY
Professionals
Architects, interior designers, landscape designers, contractors, craftspeople, and innovators based in the Portland metropolitan area are invited to submit their best work of the last three years in more than 20 categories. Top prizes will be awarded by a panel of nationally renowned design and building professionals. The winners will be featured in our November/December 2008 issue and will be honored at an awards gala in early November.

Send us the best examples you can find of Portland ingenuity. What qualifies? Anything you can see from the streets or sidewalks: from food carts to front porches to window displays to well-trimmed topiary. We’ll pick the most original and beautiful examples for a tour of Portland creativity in our November/December 2008 issue.
