The other day I was killing time in Goodwill and stumbled on a shelf, 6 feet long, foot-and-a-half deep with ceramic figurines and like jumbled nose to elbow to tail. Nevermind designer Nymphenburg or Jaime Hayon for Lladro, this was a shelf devoted to followers of Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel (may she rest in piece) waiting to be carried away in toto by a wiley art student for an installation or an art car guy or why not Jeff Koons…he found such success with his ceramic Michael Jackson. Smashing.
I prefer this “Sinking Fairy Tale” by Melissa Pavlovic of Vancouver, B.C. Lady of the Lake?
