The many years of driving past the Yves Klein blue box in the East Bay on the way from here to ancestral home…thinking “If only this weren’t 11 hours from Portland, we could pick up a quick [fill in the blank].”
Well, imagine if your closest IKEA was a continent away? Heather Moore is in Cape Town, South Africa where IKEA has yet to expand. A friend sent her the 09 catalog and she illustrated her IKEA wishlist. The result is this sweet “I wish we had IKEA” tea towel.
All of her retro-flavored textile designs on her etsy shop, skinny laminx, are so good, stitched up into tea towels and pillows. ♥
