Call for Entries for Show2008

If you’re a furniture-maker, fabricator, or otherwise have a creative vision and are handy with tools, head’s up: The bi-annual ShowPDX, a showcase of innovative furniture makers in Portland, has announced their 2008 call for entries. This year, the show is presented by fix and sponsored by Design Within Reach and Portland State University.

In 2006, DWR opened up their space for the exhibition, but this year, Show2008’s December show will be at Portland State’s Shattuck Hall.

Deadline for the contest is June 30 and pieces must be completed by September 30. Cost is $25 for each submission, non-refundable. The cost for students, non-profits, or starving artists is $10.

To submit your piece, you must provide:

Images/photos/drawings

Name of piece

Designer/firm/fabricator

Origin/contact info

Materials

Dimensions (height, length, width)

Description of piece
