This is exciting news: Flutter on N Mississippi Avenue, my favorite eccentricity shop filled with vintage and new pieces for home and life, is now carrying gorgeous furniture pieces from LA- and Miami-based MetroSofa. They’re vintage chairs and sofas that have been reupholstered with modern and luxurious fabrics, re-painted with non-toxic paints, and re-stuffed with organic cotton. In short, they’re perfect additions to your living room!

MetroSofa reminds me a lot of Margaret Elman’s Chair Couture line. She’s a New Yorker who re-dresses vintage French and Italian settes, benches, beds, and other furniture with bright, retro-inspired, and classy fabrics from Kravet or her own designs, including the nature-inspired fabrics on her newest line, “Green.”
