Turn off the Bright Lights: Earth Hour 2008
Have you heard about Earth Hour 2008?
At 8 pm on Saturday March 29 (tomorrow!) people around the world, from Sydney to Bankok, Tel Aviv to Atlanta, will turn off their lights for one hour. Restaurants, businesses, and homes will all go dark. Portland, oddly, is not one of the participating cities (but Norman, Oklahoma, is?), but that doesn’t mean we can’t shut off the light pollution for one hour.
Try it, and help raise a little more awareness about climate change.
