For a guy who only writes about food and buildings, the Architecture Foundation of Oregon’s dinner series “Dinner With An Architect” sounds like the perfect event. Since April, local architects have hosted dinner and cocktail events in their work spaces, their work, or in some cases their private homes, forging a rare opportunity to break bread and mingle with local schemers of the built environment. Upcoming events include dinner with Jean and Ned Vaivoda in the couple’s contemporary NE Portland home this Saturday, or you can enjoy light fare with wine and cocktails at the Central Eastside studios of Works Partnership Architecture on the evening of Friday the 27th.

Events range in price from $50 to $100, and all proceeds will benefit AFO programs like Architects in Schools. Click here view upcoming events and purchase tickets.
